Bursary Guidelines and Application Form 2018
In accordance with the Society of Healing Touch Program Alberta's (SHTPA) objective:
“ The Society of Healing Touch Program Alberta promotes Healing Touch Program through Leadership, Education, Information, and Community Projects by bringing Healing Touch Program into our communities and providing educational and personal growth opportunities for those in Healing Touch Program. The Society of Healing Touch Program Alberta contributes to founder Janet Mentgen's dream of Healing Touch in every home, school, and hospital by "Just doing the work".
Our objectives as a registered Society are to provide Educational Opportunities for our members. Financial assistance in the form of a bursary to individuals wishing to attend any Healing Touch Program Class is one of the delivery systems provided to our members.
The SHTPA encourages students who are keen to study Healing Touch Program, but are hesitant due to financial challenges, to apply to the Society Bursary Program.
Bursary Guidelines
Bursary Application Forms must be completed in full with the following information:
- Candidates must be members in good standing with the Society of Healing Touch Program Alberta.
- Healing Touch Program Classes Levels 2-6 are eligible for bursaries as well as Healing Touch Program Instructors Training for teaching of HTP Classes 1 – 6.
- Applications for any intended bursary must be received prior to attendance at the HTP Class. Applications for bursaries prepared and received after the course will not be processed.
- The application may be submitted by using the on-line form or by printing and filling out the PDF form and emailing it to the address you will find at the end of the application.
- Acknowledgement of receipt of the application and the approval status of a bursary will be sent by email.
- Qualified applicants receive a bursary to a maximum of $100 of the class fees (transportation and lodging excluded) once per calendar year.
- Each application is treated confidentially within the Board.
- Bursary cheques will be processed only after confirmation of completion of the HTP class has been received. Bursary cheques are prepared in the name of the applicant and sent by mail or by e- transfer.

- requested personal and Class information
- circumstances which support the need for financial assistance
- current involvement in SHTPA and HTP activities.
- a brief description of the expectations on how the learned Healing Touch Program skills will be applied in service to the HTP community.
